What to Expect During Your Second Year

Make studying and passing your exams your priority, second only to taking good care of your health and well-being.

  • You will take the COMLEX-USA Level 1 the summer after your second year of osteopathic medical school. You cannot take Level 2 until you pass Level 1, and both are required for graduation. Level 1 is a one-day, computer-based, multiple-choice exam, taken in two four-hour sessions, that covers basic medical sciences.

  • Update your CV and portfolio, which you will need as you apply for rotations, residency and scholarships.
