The AOA offers many ways for osteopathic medical students to get involved with the profession. Here are just a few opportunities:
Network with Other Students and DOs at Events
Promote the profession and advocate for patients
Collaborate with the AOA Bureau of Emerging Leaders
The AOA Bureau of Emerging Leaders (BEL) is the representative body and advocate for all osteopathic medical students, osteopathic physicians in postdoctoral training, and osteopathic physicians who are in practice but graduated from osteopathic medical school within the last 10 years. The student representative, resident representative and new physician representative to the AOA Board of Trustees are the co-chairs of the BEL.
