The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), established under the Affordable Care Act, recently issued its first draft of the National Priorities for Research. AOA President Martin S. Levine, DO, encourages members of the osteopathic family who are considering or currently conducting research studies, osteopathically-focused or otherwise, in any of the priority areas, to issue requests for proposals to the PCORI once the draft National Priorities for Research are finalized later this year. Announcements will be made at http://www.pcori.org. The AOA will make the information available in the CER section of Osteopathic.org.
