About the AOA/AOF iLearn Mentor Program

The iLearn Mentor Program, made possible through a grant from the American Osteopathic Foundation, is based on the belief that "being involved in mentoring is a privilege for both the mentor and the mentee."  The program offers participants the following:

  • Support and guidance for osteopathic medical students and young DOs as they begin their service in the osteopathic medical profession.

  • The chance for experienced osteopathic physicians to share their expertise and empathy with mentees.

Potential mentors and mentees indicate their areas of interest/expertise and whether they would like to conduct their mentor relationship in person, via email or on the phone. Based on these preferences, they can search for mentors or mentees who have indicated similar interests. To sign up to be a mentor or mentee, visit the AOA/AOF Mentor Exchange.
