Alice I-Chi Chen is a fourth-year osteopathic medical student at the A.T. Still University- School of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-SOMA) in Mesa, Arizona. Chen earned her bachelor’s degree in physiological science from University of California, Los Angeles.  As a member of the ATSU-SOMA Class of 2015, she is a member of the Sigma Sigma Phi Upsilon Honor Society and the Omega Beta Iota National Osteopathic Political Action Honor Society.

In 2014, Chen was one of four osteopathic medical students to be awarded the A.T. Still Memorial Scholarship by the Student Osteopathic Medical Association, and in 2013, she was named as the ATSU-SOMA Student DO of the Year by the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine. Chen was also a recipient of a scholarship from the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP) in 2012.

Aside from her studies, Chen served as a pre-doctoral osteopathic teaching fellow in the Department of Anatomy and Osteopathic Principles and Practices at ATSU-SOMA. She has also been actively involved in the Student Osteopathic Medical Association’s strategic planning initiative and restructuring task force, and the Student Association of the ACOFP at the school and national leadership level.
