Chelsea A. Nickolson, DO
Chelsea A. Nickolson, DO, is training in an internal medicine residency at Grandview Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio.
Dr. Nickolson received her bachelor’s degree in molecular and cellular biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she served as a research assistant in a neuroscience/psychology laboratory investigating the effects of stress on learning, memory and drug relapse in rats. She earned her osteopathic medical degree from the Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM) and a master’s of business administration from Lincoln Memorial University-School of Business, both in Harrogate, Tennessee.
In 2013, Dr. Nickolson received the LMU-DCOM Service Award and was named the LMU-DCOM Student DO of the Year by the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine. She is a recipient of the A.T. Still Memorial Scholarship by the Student Osteopathic Medical Association.
Aside from her studies, Dr. Nickolson has been actively involved with the Council of Osteopathic Student Government Presidents and LMU-DCOM. An active volunteer, Dr. Nickolson has promoted good health in her community by presenting health education programs to children and assisting at medical clinics. The Tennessee Osteopathic Medical Association bestowed her with its Spirit of Excellence Award in 2013, which honors graduates for distinction in academics, service, leadership and commitment to Tennessee residents.
