Shannon C. Scott, DO
New Physician in Practice
Dr. Scott currently serves the AOA Board of Trustees as the new physician in practice representative. In addition to this position, she will serve as the chair of the AOA’s Committee on New Physicians in Practice.
Dr. Scott currently serves as the assistant clinical professor of family and osteopathic manipulative medicine at the Midwestern University/Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine (MWU/AZCOM) in Glendale, Ariz. Dr. Scott is also a member of the Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP). Dr. Scott represented Arizona as an ACOFP delegate from 2006- 2008 and again in 2011.
Upon receiving her degree in osteopathic medicine from MWU/AZCOM in 2004, Dr. Scott completed postdoctoral training at Scottsdale (Ariz.) Healthcare Hospital where she was awarded the Outstanding Intern of the Year Award in 2005. She also received the Brazie Award in 2006 from the Arizona Academy of Family Physicians for her achievements and dedication in her postdoctoral training.
