The next meeting of the AOA Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) will be held on Friday, Dec. 1; Saturday, Dec. 2; and, Sunday, Dec. 3, at the Westin O’Hare, 6100 N. River Road, Rosemont, IL 60018. Review of accreditation activities will begin on Dec. 1 at 1 p.m. Central. The following accreditation items are on the agenda:

Comprehensive site visit report:

  • Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (Erie, Pennsylvania); LECOM-Bradenton (Bradenton, Florida); and LECOM at Seton Hill (Greensburg, Pennsylvania)

Focused site visit reports:

  • Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences College of Osteopathic Medicine (Joplin, Missouri location)

  • Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (Harrogate, Tennessee) – visit prior to review of substantive change request - class size increase and additional location in Knoxville, Tennessee

Substantive change requests:
  • Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (Harrogate, Tennessee) – class size increase and additional location in Knoxville, Tennessee

  • Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) – class size increase and additional location in Moultrie, Georgia

Progress Reports:

  • Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine (Dothan, Alabama)

  • Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine (Las Cruces, New Mexico)

  • Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine (Meridian, Idaho)

  • Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine-Bradenton (Bradenton, Florida)

  • Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine (Lynchburg, Virginia)

  • New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine (Jonesboro, Arkansas location)

  • Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine (Ivins, Utah location)

  • Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (Blacksburg, Virginia)

  • University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine (San Antonio, Texas)

The COCA will also consider nominations to Evaluators Registry, class size survey results, and discuss policy items.
