The AOA aims to educate and represent osteopathic physicians in the business of medicine including relationships with managed care plans, coding and reimbursement, Medicare, compliance, insurance advocacy, and credentialing. We provide information, resources and tools to help you better manage your practice.
We are dedicated to providing support and coordinating the development of AOA socioeconomic policy and we communicate these developments to state societies and specialty colleges.
This includes issues pertaining to managed care, Medicaid, fraud and abuse, HIPAA and all other coding and reimbursement issues including representing the AOA in the AMA, CPT, PEAC, and RUC process.
