EHR Questions? RECs Can Help

Do you work in a small practice, serve patients who lack adequate coverage or medical care, or work in a public or critical access hospital without the resources to implement an electronic health records (EHR) system? As part of the push to help priority primary care providers incorporate EHR systems in their practices, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology has funded 62 Regional Extension Centers (RECs) throughout the United States. RECs provide a wide range of EHR-related support, from helping physicians choose a certified EHR system to providing tech support or training once a system is in place.
