During the AOA's Annual Osteopathic Medical Conference and Exposition, osteopathic physicians, researchers and other medical experts in a variety of fields share the latest medical research through various presentations and other forums. The meeting also features commercial exhibits from pharmaceutical companies and other vendors. Additionally, organizations affiliated with the AOA often hold community outreach or philanthropic events that benefit local residents in the community where the meeting takes place. The convention occurs each fall in a major U.S. city.
