Just a few of the activities you should plan on working into your schedule:

  • AOA WELCOME RECEPTION (kid-friendly) Sunday night
    Join your colleagues to kick off OMED 2011 with food, drinks and a live band at the Peabody Hotel.

  • OMED OPENING SESSION Monday morning
    Featuring a keynote address from former Florida governor, Jeb Bush. The AOA will bestow its highest honor, the Distinguished Service Certificate, and present its George W. Northup Award.

  • TRICK OR TREAT IN THE EXHIBIT HALL (kid-friendly) Monday afternoon
    If you're traveling with your family, be sure to bring your little ghouls and goblins by the Exhibit Hall for some trick-or-treating fun! This event is open to all children of registered OMED attendees.

  • AOA TOWN HALL MEETING Tuesday morning
    Be in the middle of the action as industry experts gather to discuss the impact of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) on the nation's health care system from two perspectives: practice transformation through patient-centered medical home and accountable care organizations; and the impact of the ACA on women and minorities.

  • WEDNESDAY KEYNOTE SPEAKER Wednesday morning
    Not only was she the first Filipino-American to become a Rear Admiral in the U.S. Navy, but Eleanor "Connie" Mariano was also the first female director of the White House Medical Unit. Don't miss out on the opportunity to hear this dynamic and innovative speaker!
