AOA Mentioned in LA Times Piece

A special article published in the 6/26/11 Los Angeles Times asked a question familiar to the AOA:  “What Happened to the Family Doctor?”  In fact, this question drives many of the AOA’s ongoing efforts to promote primary care through loan forgiveness, bonus payments, and other incentives, including promotion of the Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model for care.  The LA Times article highlights the AOA as one of the four founders of the PCMH model.  The article also examines other efforts to promote primary care and promote greater access to such care for all patients in the Affordable Care Act.  Read more online
