International Teamwork to Improve Health

korea-1 (300x189).jpg
Yesterday, I welcomed Dr. Jook-shik Shin, founder of the Jaseng Hospital of Eastern Medicine in Seoul, South Korea. We discussed the U.S. osteopathic medical profession and its similarities to Dr. Shin's manipulative treatments. The Jaseng representatives had also visited the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine as part of a developing partnership.  In other international news, I visited the Rotary International Headquarters in Evanston, IL, on 11/7/11 to meet with General Secretary John Hewko and discuss potential avenues for collaboration between DOs and Rotarians on international medical outreach and mission work.
