Media Corner: AOA Family in the News

Physicians who listen to Mozart while performing colonoscopy may increase their detection rates of precancerous polyps, according to the results of a new study by Catherine Noelle O’Shea, DO, and David Wolf, MD, of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.  The study, which was unveiled this month at the American College of Gastroenterology’s Annual Scientific meeting, was reported in Science Daily on 10/31/11. In other AOA family media news, Joe Cappiello, Chief Operating Officer of the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program, was included in the Becker's ASC Review list of “350 People in the Ambulatory Surgical Center Industry to Know.” Joe and the other leaders on this list represent some of the most respected and talented minds in the ASC industry.
