AOA Board Retreat Commences in South Beach

AOA President Martin S. Levine, DO, and the full AOA Board of Trustees are in humid Miami, Fla., today for the first day of the AOA Board of Trustees’ Annual Retreat, taking place 2/27-28/12 in advance of the AOA Midyear Meeting, which begins on 3/1/12. The Retreat examines the structure of the AOA, particularly regarding undergraduate and postgraduate education and specialty certification, and our ability to respond quickly to expected “seismic shifts” in medicine in the coming years.  Now, more than ever before, entities like the AOA must adapt to the changing milieu by continually re-evaluating our role, under guidance of our Board, and find new opportunities in the changing environment.
