2012 Midyear Meeting Adjourns

AOA President Martin S. Levine, DO, and President-elect Ray E. Stowers, DO, convened the final day of the AOA Board of Trustees’ 2012 Midyear Meeting in Miami Beach this morning.  The Board acted on 31 diverse resolutions affecting aspects across the scope of the osteopathic medical profession, including revisions to AOA postdoctoral training programs, support of the Council of Medical Specialty Societies’ Code for Interactions with Industry, and our opposition to the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education’s proposed requirements that would limit DOs’ ability to train in ACGME programs, among others. Read all the resolutions the Board considered on Osteopathic.org. An updated document showing revisions to and actions taken on each resolution will be posted online in the coming weeks. The Board formally adjourned the 2012 Midyear Meeting and will next convene in Chicago at the 2012 Annual Business Meeting & House of Delegates in July.
