NRMP Releases 2012 Match Results

The National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) released results from the 2012 Match on 3/16/12, showing that 1,764 students and graduates of osteopathic medical schools successfully matched into Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) training programs, up from 1,561 who matched in 2011. A total of 596 DO students and graduates did not match into ACGME programs through the NRMP Match. Positions are available through the post-match scramble for osteopathic medical students and physicians who did not match through the NRMP or the AOA Match. All those wishing to scramble to an AOA program are able to search for advertised positions via the AOA Post Match web service.
