New Resources on Medicare Preventive Services

The AOA strives to give all members access to the latest information and informative resources about changes in health care.  DOs with questions about Medicare’s initial preventive physical exam and the annual wellness visit are encouraged to participate in a CMS Preventive Services National Physician Call on 3/28/12 at 2:30 p.m. Eastern.  CMS experts will be on hand to discuss both of these preventive services, when to perform them, who can perform each service, who is eligible to receive them, and how to code and bill for each, followed by a question-and-answer session.  Register online.  DOs can also visit the AOA’s “Annual Wellness Exam and Welcome to Medicare” webpage on Osteopathic.org to watch a webinar we recorded in October 2011, which includes answers to the questions our DOs asked our CMS presenter, as well as a list of reference materials for your use.
