The 3/20/12 Washington Post reported that uninsured Americans consumed $116 billion of health care services in 2008. Also that year, people without insurance did not pay for 63% of their health care costs, according to the Obama administration’s brief defending the constitutionality of the ACA’s “individual mandate.”
The New York Times reported on 3/19/12 that overweight doctors may be less likely than other physicians to discuss diet and exercise with patients, and less likely to make a diagnosis of obesity, according to a study published online in the journal Obesity.
