Presidential Message on Comparative Research

President Levine has issued a special message to DO advocates regarding the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), established under the Affordable Care Act, which recently issued its first draft of the “National Priorities for Research.” The draft identifies the types of studies PCORI will fund with its considerable resources. If you are currently conducting a study, osteopathically-focused or otherwise, in any of the priority areas, or are thinking about conducting a study, President Levine encourages you to apply for funding. PCORI plans to issue requests for proposals once they have finalized the draft Priorities later this year.  The AOA will make the information available on our CER Web page and through other notices.
