DO Testifies Before Senate Committee

feder (300x225).jpg
This afternoon, AOA member Joel Feder, DO, of Leawood, Kan., testified before the U.S. House of Representatives’ Ways and Means Committee’s Subcommittee on Oversight. His testimony regarded newly created limitations on the purchase of over-the-counter medication with tax-advantaged accounts, such as health care Flexible Spending Arrangements, Health Savings Accounts and Health Reimbursement Accounts.  The AOA has advocated reversal of this policy and has made this a priority legislative issue for the 112th Congress.  We are honored to testify and look forward to a lively discussion on how this new law interferes with patient-centered care.
