Great Teamwork from AOA Affiliates

  • The New York State Osteopathic Medical Society’s Board has approved a resolution to oppose development of an MD school on the campus of the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (TCOM) and pledge $1000 to the Texas Osteopathic Medical Association to aid their advocacy efforts.
  • The Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons’ House of Delegates likewise approved a resolution regarding supporting TCOM and opposing the “MD option.” 
  • The Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine held a news conference on 4/11/12 to announce results of an economic impact study​, which found that its opening will have an immediate statewide economic impact of $34.5 million and of $116 million by 2030. The school, which has received pre-accreditation status from the AOA COCA, expects to welcome its first class of 150 students in August 2013.
