AOA Represented at National Meetings

In other meeting news, AOA Trustee Boyd R. Buser, DO, and Government Relations staff are among several educational leaders representing the continuum of osteopathic medical education today at the “Beyond Flexner 2012: Social Mission in Medical Education” conference, taking place 5/15-17/12 in Tulsa, Okla.  This collaborative event aims to bring national attention to schools with strong social mission agenda, create a forum for shared innovations among socially accountable medical schools, and legitimize the important role of medical education in addressing health inequities. Dr. Buser also serves as Dean of the Pikeville University—Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine and Co-Chair of the AOA/AACOM Blue Ribbon Commission.  AOA Quality & Research Department staff is also attending the AQA Alliance’s Steering Group Committee Meeting today in Washington, DC, due to my conflicting schedule here in Michigan.
