President Levine Attends AAPA Conference

AOA President Martin S. Levine, DO, represented the osteopathic medical profession over the weekend at the American Association of Physician Assistants’ (AAPA) 40th Annual Conference, “IMPACT: Explore the Possibilities,” which is taking place 5/26-31/12 in Toronto, Canada.  President Levine participated in a “VIP Roundtable Discussion” on 5/26/12 regarding workforce shortages and efforts by the health care professions to increase our workforce to meet anticipated needs. During the House of Delegates meeting, AAPA staff thanked the AOA for our help in collaborating on regulatory language for licensure.  Several other physician groups, including the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Family Physicians, were also in attendance.
