Conference Calls on Quality, Public Health

I represented the AOA today on a conference call of the AQA Alliance’s Steering Committee, on which I fill the AOA’s seat.  Chaired by Carolyn Clancy, Director of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, AQA member groups work together to determine how to most effectively and efficiently improve physician-level performance measurement, data aggregation and reporting.  During the call, Committee members heard reports from several working groups on AQA membership statistics, outreach to nonmember organizations, updating our website and retirement of current AQA documents.  Speaking of conference calls, the program committee overseeing development of the AOA’s three annual Public Health seminars, held each year during OMED, convened a teleconference last night to continue planning for these great events.
