A joint AOA and American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) group, the BRC aims to identify unique opportunities for the osteopathic medical profession to offer leadership in medical education that addresses the health care needs of the American people.  The goal for this week’s meeting is to review and finalize the BRC’s White Paper, A Vision for 21st Century Osteopathic Medical Education, and agree upon next steps in the BRC process.  AOA Trustees Boyd R. Buser, DO, who also serves as BRC Co-Chair, John R. Becher, DO, Robert S. Juhasz, DO, and Norman E. Vinn, DO, along with Immediate Past President Karen J. Nichols, DO, and I, also participated on behalf of the AOA.  The AOA Finance Committee convened a special session on 6/10/12 under the leadership of its Chair, Dr. Nichols, to approve final changes to the FY2013-14 budgets, which are now balanced for the 15th year in a row.
