Educational Grants Committee Convenes

The AOA Dale Dodson Educational Fund (DDEF) Committee was established in 1994 to oversee the DDEF and provide funding to programs that develop and preserve osteopathic philosophies and practices. Through DDEF grants, the AOA has supported development of exams and psychometric services for many osteopathic certifying boards as well as programs in OMT education.  Led by AOA Trustee Susan C. Sevensma, DO, Chair, the Committee met today to review DDEF investment performance and consider ways the Fund can support some of our members’ most urgent educational needs, including online CME opportunities, expanded OMT training for students, and Osteopathic Continuous Certification (OCC) implementation.

Educational Grants Committee Convenes

Enjoyed your post!  My organization, the American Society for Nutrition, is hosting a conference on food, health, and nutrition science in the Chicago area later this month.  We have a limited number of free media passes available for bloggers.  Please let me know if you're interested in attending the event at no cost.  The program features a keynote address by Dr. Dean Ornish on Friday, June 22; additional details: www.nutrition.org/meetings/clinical.  Please email mktgintern@nutrition.org if you are interested in attending or have any questions.
