Intern and Resident Leaders Convene

The AOA Council of Interns and Residents (CIR) convened via teleconference last evening under the leadership of Jenny Kendall, DO, Chair, who is the Intern/Resident Representative on the AOA Board of Trustees.  AOA Trustee Boyd R. Buser, DO, and I participated in the call to give intern and resident leaders an update on yesterday’s meeting with leadership of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. The Council went on to review resolutions pertaining to postdoctoral training that the AOA House of Delegates will consider next week; members will also host an Intern and Resident Caucus on 7/19/12 to form consensus on whether to support or oppose each resolution. Other issues discussed on the call include planning for the 2012 CIR Leadership Summit at OMED and the CIR Ambassadors program.
