MSSP Application Cycle Now Open

AOA staff and I participated in a national provider call on 7/31/12 hosted by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.  The call provided an overview of the application process for the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) and Advance Payment Model, the precursor for accountable care organizations called for by the Affordable Care Act.  Our participation on the call ensures that we can assist AOA members seeking information on how to participate in these programs while providing feedback from the osteopathic medical profession to CMS during the call.  Applications for the MSSP for those who submitted Notices of Intent are being accepted beginning today—visit the CMS website to learn more.
