Teamwork to Advance Osteopathic Education

On Friday, 4/6/12, AOA Immediate Past President Karen J. Nichols, DO, Trustee Boyd R. Buser, DO, and I represented the AOA on a conference call of the Blue Ribbon Commission’s (BRC) Planning Committee. A joint AOA and American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) sponsored group, the BRC aims to identify unique opportunities for the osteopathic medical profession to offer leadership in medical education and examine what kind of DOs we should be educating and how they should be trained for the 21st century.  The next face-to-face meeting of the BRC is scheduled for June 2012.
