OIA Education Forum and Meeting

I have arrived in Potsdam, Germany, to join my fellow Osteopathic International Alliance Board members for the OIA’s Annual Education Forum and General Meeting, being held in conjunction with the Osteopathic European Academic Network (OsEAN), the German Osteopathic Association (VOD), and German Association for Osteopathic Physicians (DGOM).  The OIA and OsEAN will welcome more than 130 osteopathic medical practitioners and regulators from around the world and the VOD and DGOM will host 500 osteopathic attendees for their portion of the conference.  The OIA works to ensure that “Osteopathy, through its distinct perspectives and practices, will make an important contribution to improving integrated quality health care worldwide.”  The OIA Board meets early on 9/28/11 and the Forums begin on Thursday, 9/29/11.  I will continue to report this week on developments following our meetings and educational programs.
