Whenever I visit a college of osteopathic medicine, my main point to osteopathic medical students is to stay in touch. To stay connected to the osteopathic family, no matter where your postdoctoral training takes you. And that’s really a sentiment for everyone in the profession. We share a unique experience as osteopathic physicians and students and I believe it’s important that we all know what’s going on — what’s affecting our profession, our colleagues, our students, and our schools — and that we know about each other.
Beyond the annual meetings and Osteopathic.org, the AOA now has more options than ever to connect with your colleagues and share your thoughts and feedback:
- The AOA’s Facebook page for information about the profession.
- The DO Facebook page, highlighting DO stories and public-interest topics related to the osteopathic medical profession.
- The AOA Twitter feed, @AOAforDOs, for up-to-the-minute news and twitter-only deals.
- The AOA LinkedIn group for a professional space to view open positions, post jobs, and network.
And don’t forget about one more place to share your thoughts – this blog.
You can stay connected to your professional family in more ways than we ever have before. So, I ask you – are you connected?
