Harrisburg Physician Re-Elected to AOA Board of Trustees

(CHICAGO) Suzanne K. Kelley, DO, a resident of Harrisburg, Pa., was re-elected to the  American Osteopathic Association’s Board of Trustees at the organization’s annual business meeting this month.

“I am deeply honored to continue my role as a trustee, which is my way of giving back to the osteopathic medical profession,” says Dr. Kelley, an AOA board-certified family physician.​​

Professional Background

Dr. Kelley serves as the senior medical director of HealthAmerica of Pennsylvania, a health care benefit insurer. She has also been a member of the AOA and the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association (POMA) since 1973. She served as president of POMA from 2000-2001. She is currently serving as vice president of the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Family Physicians Society.

Honors and Awards

In 2008, Dr. Kelley was awarded POMA’s Distinguished Service Award. She was also awarded the Family Physician of the Year Award from the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Family Physicians Society in 2005.

Education

Dr. Kelley received her undergraduate degree from Elizabethtown College and her osteopathic medicine degree in 1977 from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM). She then completed her internship and residency training at PCOM.
