(CHICAGO) – Robert S. Juhasz, DO, of Concord Township, Ohio, was re-elected to the American Osteopathic Association’s (AOA) Board of Trustees at its recent annual meeting.
“I am very proud to continue to serve on the board of trustees,” says Dr. Juhasz. “The position allows me to support the AOA while offering me the honor of representing the interests of my fellow osteopathic physicians and providing leadership on a national level.”
Professional Background An AOA board-certified internist, Dr. Juhasz serves as the medical director at the Cleveland Clinic’s Willoughby Hills Family Health Center and as an assistant clinical professor at the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (OU-HCOM) in Athens and the Cleveland Clinic Lerneer College of Medicine in Cleveland. He recently served as the chair for the AOA’s Department of Business Affairs and the Educational Policies and Procedures Review Committee III. In addition, he has served as chair of the Governmental Affairs Committee for the American College of Osteopathic Internists and is a member of the American College of Physicians.
Honors and Awards
Dr. Juhasz has been named a “Top Doc” by Cleveland Magazine for several years, including 2011. He has also appeared in the former Northern Ohio Live – Best Doctors in Cleveland listing. Additionally, he was awarded the Ohio Osteopathic Association’s Trustee Award and named an Honorary Alumnus of OU-HCOM in 2008.
Education
Upon graduating from the Kansas City (Mo.) University of Medicine and Biosciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1981, Dr. Juhasz completed his internship and internal medicine residency training at Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital in Warrensville Heights, Ohio.
Local Service
Dr. Juhasz has served as the co-chair of the physician section of the Profession Division of the cabinet for United Way Lake County; is a Lake County Medical Reserve Corps volunteer; and is a member of the Willoughby Area Chamber of Commerce and the St. Gabriel Parish community. He has been a resident of Concord Township for 25 years.
