(SAN FRANCISCO)—Seniors are never too old to be physically fit and active is one of the messages osteopathic physicians (DOs) will take away from presentations at the American Osteopathic Association’s (AOA) 115th Osteopathic Medical Conference & Exposition, known as OMED 2010 Unified, in San Francisco on Wednesday, Oct. 27.
Wednesday conference highlights include:
The Older Athlete
What: This presentation will explore cardio exercise and weight training guidelines for the mature athlete.
Who: Kurt P. Heinking, DO, AOA board-certified family medicine physician and sports medicine specialist
When: 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27
Where: Moscone Center South, Conference Room 305
Depression in Cardiovascular Disease
What: This presentation will explore the correlation between depression and cardiovascular disease.
Who: Michael McNamara, DO, AOA board-certified psychiatrist
When: 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27
Where: Moscone Center South, Conference Room 300
The OMED 2010 Unified conference will run through Thursday, Oct. 28, at the Moscone Center in the south building.

Media can also register on site in the AOA press room, Conference Room 274 at the Moscone Center South. The press room will operate 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 27.
