Reporters and other members of the media may register to attend the following AOA meetings to cover actions and events that are of interest to the public or industry audiences. A link to an online media kit with details and registration materials is made available approximately four to six weeks in advance of each meeting.
Annual House of Delegates Meeting
Delegates representing state osteopathic medical associations, specialty societies, graduate physicians and students vote on organizational policies concerning public, professional and educational affairs. Delegates also elect new officers and swear in a new president for a one-year term. Each year, the meeting takes place in July in Chicago.
OMED, the Osteopathic Medical Conference & Exposition
Osteopathic physicians, researchers and other medical experts in a variety of fields share the latest medical research through various presentations and other forums. The meeting also features commercial exhibits from pharmaceutical companies and other vendors. Additionally, organizations affiliated with the AOA often hold community outreach or philanthropic events that benefit local residents in the community where the meeting takes place. The convention occurs each fall in a major U.S. city.
