Osteopathic physicians (DOs), osteopathic medical students and other members of the osteopathic professional family convened in San Diego for the American Osteopathic Association’s (AOA) OMED 2012, the Osteopathic Medical Conference & Exposition. The conference was held Sunday, Oct. 7, through Thursday, Oct. 11, at the San Diego Convention Center.
During the meeting, the latest medical research was presented to attendees, including concussions in youth sports, the osteopathic approach to dizziness and pain management in pregnancy. During the conference, the AOA also released results of a national consumer survey about concussion awareness, including treatment options, for both adults and children.
