Osteopathic physicians (DOs), osteopathic medical students and other members of the osteopathic medical profession convened in Las Vegas for the American Osteopathic Association’s (AOA) OMED 2013, the Osteopathic Medical Conference & Exposition. The conference was held Monday, Sept. 30, through Friday, Oct. 4, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
During the conference, DOs and other experts in a variety of medical fields shared the latest information about medical research and heath care topics, including preventing sudden death in athletes and integrating exercise into patient care. The AOA also will release the results of a national consumer survey about the methods people use to find a physician for themselves and their family and what criteria they look at when selecting a physician.
