A board-certified family physician, Antoinette M. Cheney, DO, relocated to Lone Tree, Colo., from Columbia, Md., where she worked in a private group practice. She currently is an adjunct faculty member at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Parker, Colo., and St. Francis University in Loretto, Pa.
A marathoner and triathlete, Dr. Cheney is an advocate for both patients and physicians living healthy lifestyles. She is also an award-winning contributor to Medical Economics magazine, authoring articles on topics ranging from being a role model for patients to transitioning to practice medicine in a different state.
After graduating from what is now known as the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Dr. Cheney completed a one-year rotating internship at Youngstown (Ohio) Osteopathic Hospital followed by a family practice residency through the Western Reserve Care System at the former Forum Health, now known as the ValleyCare Health System, consisting of medical centers and hospitals throughout northeast Ohio.
