A fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, Benjamin Lam, DO, is an AOA board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He practices at Bucks County Plastic Surgery, PC in Newtown, Pa. He also is the associate director of the plastic surgery residency and a clinical assistant professor at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM).

For nearly 10 years, Dr. Lam has developed expertise in body contouring as well as numerous additional cosmetic surgery procedures. His techniques have been adopted by surgeons around the country. He co-authored “Use of Alloderm in Primary Nipple Reconstruction to Improve Long-Term Nipple Projection,” which was published in the May 2007 issue of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Lam is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons Board of Governors.

Dr. Lam received his osteopathic medical degree from the Des Moines (Iowa) University— College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed an internship at Delaware Valley Medical Center in Langhorne, Pa., and a fellowship in general surgery and reconstructive surgery at PCOM.
