Daniel W. Saylak, DO, an AOA board-certified family physician, serves as both president and a physician at the Central Texas Osteopathic Medical Associates, P.A. in Bryan. Dr. Saylak also serves as the senior medical officer for the Texas National Disaster Medical Service Disaster Assistance Team and as medical director of the Texas A&M Department of Recreational Sports in College Station.
Dr. Saylak is a past president of the Texas Osteopathic Medical Association. He also has been the chair of the American Osteopathic Association of Medical Informatics since 2008. Dr. Saylak was featured in several articles about best practice communications for Doctor’s Digest, including an article about technology and communication. He was also featured in an article published by The Commonwealth Fund discussing the impact of electronic health records.
Upon completion of his osteopathic medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center—Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, Dr. Saylak completed his postdoctoral training at the Northeast Community Hospital in Bedford, Texas.
