A fellow of the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine, Jeffrey R. Bytomski, DO, an osteopathic family physician, is the head medical team physician at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C. He also serves as the team physician for U.S. Women’s Basketball and previously served as the primary care team physician for the Carolina Cobras arena football team in Raleigh, N.C.
For more than 10 years, Dr. Bytomski has treated patients with concussions and other sports-related injuries, including exercise-induced asthma, athletic anemia and cardiac issues in athletes. He has given numerous presentations about concussions, including an annual presentation about concussion management at Duke University Sports Medicine Center.
Dr. Bytomski received his osteopathic medical degree from the Kirksville (Mo.) College of Osteopathic Medicine-A.T. Still University. He is a fellow of the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine.
