A fellow of the American College of Emergency Medicine, Joseph A. DeLucia, DO, is AOA board-certified in emergency medicine and family medicine. He serves as an emergency medical services liaison director and an assistant professor of emergency medicine at St. Louis University Medical Center.
Dr. DeLucia serves as an editorial advisor board member for Emergency Physicians Monthly. He has written numerous articles for this publication, including one about handling hysteria in an emergency department. Dr. DeLucia is also the editor for the National Association of Emergency Medical Physicians newsletter.
After receiving his osteopathic medical degree from the Kansas City (Mo.) University of Medicine and Biosciences College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. DeLucia completed an internship at University Hospital in Kansas City, Mo., and a residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and the St. Louis Children’s Hospital in St. Louis.
