Joseph A. Racanelli, DO, is an AOA board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon in private practice with four offices in the New York and New Jersey area.
With a focus on procedures, such as abdominoplasty and breast augmentation, Dr. Racanelli’s honest and direct approach with prospective patients was highlighted in Vanity Fair after an undercover writer visited several cosmetic surgeons in New York to chronicle how they interact with patients. The writer reported that unlike many other surgeons she met with, Dr. Racanelli did not try to push her into additional surgeries other than those that she came in to discuss with him.
Dr. Racanelli was named in the Top Doctors listing by New Jersey magazine in 2012 and 2011.
After receiving his osteopathic medical degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pa., Dr. Racanelli completed his graduate medical training at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn.
