Kevin P. Hubbard, DO, is an AOA board-certified internist, hematologist/oncologist, and palliative medicine physician. He serves as Professor and Chair of the department of internal medicine at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences-College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Hubbard previously had a 20-year career in private practice as the corporate vice president of Heartland Hematology-Oncology Associates in Kansas City, Mo. He is a fellow and past president of the American College of Osteopathic Internists.
Dr. Hubbard has written articles about different types of cancers and tumors that have been published in medical journals, including The Journal of the American Osteopathic Association (JAOA) and American Journal of Clinical Oncology. In addition, he has been interviewed by local television stations and participated in a call-in program on a local news-talk radio station. Dr. Hubbard is the former president of the Kansas City Southwest Clinical Society and a past president of the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons.
After receiving his osteopathic medical degree from KCUMB-COM. Dr. Hubbard did his internship at Oklahoma Osteopathic Hospital in Tulsa. He completed residencies in internal medicine at the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, and at Normandy Osteopathic Hospitals in St. Louis. In addition, Dr. Hubbard did a fellowship in medical oncology/hematology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
