Lisa A. DeStefano, DO, an AOA board-certified family physician, is an associate professor and chair of the Department of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) at the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic (MSUCOM) in East Lansing. She also is a staff physician at the MSUCOM OMM Clinic.
In addition to her certification in family medicine, Dr. DeStefano is AOA board certified in neuromusculoskeletal medicine. As a member of the AOA, the American Academy of Osteopathy, the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, and the Michigan Osteopathic Association, she has been invited to speak around the country on medical issues such as OMM, chronic pain and neuromusculoskelatal medicine.
Upon graduation from MSUCOM, Dr. DeStefano completed an internship at Lansing (Mich.) General Hospital and a family medicine residency at Ingham Regional Medical Center in Lansing.
