Rob Danoff, DO, an AOA board-certified family physician, serves as the program director of the family practice residency program and the combined family practice/emergency medicine residency programs at Aria Health System in Philadelphia. In 2012, Dr. Danoff was named the AOA Mentor of the Year. Dr. Danoff was recently recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a Top Doctor in Family Medicine.
Dr. Danoff’s vast experience with the media includes serving as a regular contributor to Discovery Health Online, a medical correspondent for The Comcast Network and a contributing writer to The New York Times. Currently he contributes to KYW-TV in Philadelphia, WCBS 880-AM in New York, MSN Healthy Living, and The Learning Channel. He also writes a weekly medical column for the Bucks Courier Times and the Doylestown Intelligencer, which respectively cover Bucks and Montgomery counties in Pennsylvania. Previously he served as a daily medical reporter for a radio station in Philadelphia; as co-host of a live interactive cable medical show; and as the host of a live medical chat on Yahoo.
A graduate of the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine, Dr. Danoff completed his postgraduate medical training at Aria Health System in Philadelphia. He also holds a master’s degree from Syracuse University in New York and a master’s degree from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse. His graduate school training focused on environmental health.
